Several Dry Days Followed by the Approach of Rain and Possible Severe Weather

Good morning,
Like I mentioned, Friday and Saturday were not fully dry, as both days there were showers and thunderstorms scattered across the region, with Friday even bringing some strong ones across the extreme northern and southern parts of the state.
However, we are looking for a mostly dry Sunday, and even drier Monday and Tuesday. Unfortunately, humidity and heat will be back too, due to a heat ridge slowly moving east into the Eastern US. I will have a map regarding how hot the temperatures will be the next few days out later today.
Here is what I am expecting for the day today.

Now, will this dry and hot weather continue for a long time? That is not quite true. It will continue probably through Wednesday. After that, a cold front will be diving into the Southeast, with some rain, thunderstorms, and perhaps severe weather, which is too early to tell yet. The cold front will give temperatures a plunge, and it might be that a taste of autumn will follow.
Here is what I am expecting Thursday.

Holiday greetings! Stay right here at Georgia Weather Plus to get a sneak peak at the Labor Day 2013 forecast for Georgia! A discussion will be up on Tuesday, and a forecast map will be out next weekend.
Stay tuned!
Mark
