Flash Flooding Threats

A line of strong thunderstorms with small hail and gusty winds has entered Northwest Georgia, and will slowly chug across Northern Georgia, mainly to the north of I-20. While severe weather is not anticipated with this line, flash flooding may be a concern, and thus, a River/Flash Flooding Awareness Day -- announcing all new Flash Flood warnings -- might be needed shortly. If the storms will not weaken nor speed up in the next hour, the awareness day notice will be posted.
