*EXTREMELY HEAVY RAIN*

Today is a River/Flash Flooding Action Day, because of numerous flash flooding and flooding across Georgia. Different locations have reported between 3 to 8 inches of rain, and locally as much as 10. In addition, widespread amounts of 2-5 inches can be expected as the day progresses with numerous bands of heavy rain. Also, some of these heavy rain bands and thunderstorms could become locally severe, and produce small hail mainly dime to nickel sized, and wind gusts in excess of 60 MPH.
I will post a map later today. Meanwhile, below is the current radar, together with some of the Flash Flood Warnings currently in effect. The green boxes are Flash Flood Warnings.
All new Flash Flood Warnings will be posted.
